David and Victoria Beckham have been in the public eye for decades, and yet, their passionate romance remains an inspiration to many to this day.
In what the two both deem a love-at-first-sight ordeal, Victoria "Posh Spice" Adams first met the soccer player during one of his games at the Manchester United lounge while she was then still a Spice Girl. He, meanwhile, first fell for her when he watched her perform on television.
In 1999, the two wed, and since then, they've welcomed four children and supported one another in their different careers.
Now boasting a 26-year romance and counting, the Beckhams are still among the longest and strongest celebrity couples, often professing their love for one another in interviews and frequent social media posts.

The pair take a trip down memory lane on social media in commemoration of their romance on Valentine's Day.
Victoria shares throwback shots of her and David, including one of them embracing on a yacht.
"26 years and still my Valentine, I love you so much @davidbeckham đź’•đź’•đź’•đź’• kisses @brooklynpeltzbeckham @cruzbeckham @romeobeckham #HarperSeven x," she writes in the caption.
Meanwhile, David shares a sweet throwback photo of him and his wife enjoying an intimate, romantic dinner.

December 25, 2022: Victoria dedicates a Christmas hoodie to David.
Proving that her spark with David is still alive and well, Victoria flaunts the sweet custom graphic hoodie dedicated to her husband that she wears on Christmas. The sweatshirt features text that reads, "All I want for Christmas is David Beckham."
She shares a photo of herself in the hoodie while sitting on her husband's lap on Instagram.
"I got what I wanted this Christmas," she writes in the caption.
November 1, 2022: Victoria gushes over David's new docuseries.
Victoria supports her husband at the screening of his new docuseries, Save Our Squad, surrounding his return to East London with the Westward Boys team.
She later gushes over his work on social media.
"I couldn't be prouder tonight of @DavidBeckham and his INCREDIBLE @studio99 team," she captions a post on Instagram featuring a photo of her on the carpet at the screening. "I was totally blown away and emotional this evening."
October 2, 2022: They take Paris Fashion Week as a family.
The pair show up with all four kids to Paris Fashion Week. Victoria later shares a group photo on Instagram.
July 4, 2019: They celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The two post heartfelt tributes to one another in commemoration of the milestone.
"20 years today. I love you so much," Victoria writes on a video slideshow featuring throwback photos of the couple, including snapshots of the pair's iconic coordinated looks from their wedding and additional joint appearances.
January 22, 2019: They double date with their son.
Victoria and David go out for a double date with 20-year-old son Brooklyn and model Hana Cross, his girlfriend at the time. The pairs are captured leaving The Flower Shop restaurant in Manhattan's Lower East Side.
October 17, 2018: David reveals the secret to their successful marriage.
"I think marriage is always about hard work," he says during his talk show appearance on The Sunday Project with Lisa Wilkinson. "To have been married for the amount of time that we have, you know it's always hard work, everybody knows that, but you make it work, you make difficult situations, like traveling away, being away from each other, you make it work."
May 19, 2018: They attend the royal wedding.
The Beckhams are among the celebrity attendees at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
June 19, 2014: Their wax figures are unveiled at Madame Tussauds.
The pair's icon status is solidified for posterity with installations of their wax figures at Madame Tussauds in London.
May 2013: David retires from soccer.
David also announces that he will be retiring from soccer to welcome a new chapter in his life. In a statement per the Evening Standard, David says, "Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love, however I feel like I'm starting a new adventure and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead."
December 11, 2012: They take the carpet as a family.
David and Victoria arrive with their sons, Romeo, Cruz, and Brooklyn, at the London premiere of the Viva Forever! musical based on songs recorded by the Spice Girls.
July 10, 2011: They welcome their fourth child.
Victoria gives birth to her fourth child with David, daughter Harper Seven Beckham.
"Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family," a spokesperson of the Beckhams says at the time.
September 8, 2009: David dedicates an ink sleeve to Victoria.
The soccer star gets a tattoo of 10 roses to honor his 10-year anniversary with Victoria.
"Yeah, I [got] 10 roses around my arms," he tells Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on her show. "We always try and do things special, you know. It's not always about buying gifts for each other, of course. We just make sure that we make time together or go for dinner together and do special things. That's important to us."
February 20, 2005: They welcome their third child.
Victoria gives birth to her and David's third baby, Cruz David Beckham, in Madrid.
"We've got a baby boy. His name is Cruz," David tells reporters at the hospital. "He is beautiful. He is in there with his brothers now and he is very happy."
September 1, 2002: They welcome their second child.
Victoria gives birth to her and David's second child, Romeo James Beckham, at 9:40 a.m. at the Portland Hospital in London.
July 4, 1999: They get married.
The two get married at Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin and flaunt iconic coordinating looks for the special occasion. During the ceremony, Victoria wears a white Vera Wang gown paired a gold crown by Slim Barrett. David matches her in a white suit.
The two later change into matching purple outfits for the evening reception. The Beckhams later sell their wedding photos to OK! magazine for around $1.4 million.
Despite their iconic wedding's high profile, Victoria clarifies years later, in December 2022, that the ceremony was actually a lot more "intimate" than it seemed.
"I think that the media glamorized the wedding much more than it actually was," she says during a conversation with The Business of Fashion. "Yes, it was in a magazine. Yes, we sat on thrones. … [But] the wedding wasn't as huge as everybody made out," she continued. "It was family and friends. It was actually much more intimate than it looked."
June 16, 1999: They match in leather.
The two wear their iconic matching leather outfits at a Versace store party in London.
Years later, in October 2022, Victoria confesses in a Watch What Happens Live appearance that the leather look now "haunts" her, but she still appreciates the purity it represented in her and David at the time.
"We really considered those outfits, we really thought about it, and there was a naïveté to it that was just so sweet," she says.
March 4, 1999: They welcome their first child.
Victoria gives birth to her first child with David—Brooklyn Joseph Beckham—at Portland Hospital in London.
January 25, 1998: They announce their engagement.
After about a year of dating, David Beckham and Victoria "Posh Spice" Adams officially announce their engagement.
Circa 1997: They meet during a soccer match.
The two first meet at the Manchester United soccer players' lounge while Victoria is still a Spice Girl. Victoria fondly recounts their electric first encounter to British Vogue in September 2016.
"[Love] will happen to you in the Manchester United players' lounge—although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy," she tells the magazine. "He's going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it)."
David also affirms that meeting Victoria was love at first sight.
"My wife picked me out of a soccer sticker book. And I chose her off the telly," he wrote in his autobiography. "It felt straight away like we'd always been meant to be together."
